I'm Pat Flynn & I'm here to help you make more money, save more time, & help more people, too. I'm a family man first, and here to help other people who are in it for more than just themselves.
After getting laid off in 2008, I built a successful online business in the architecture space that generated over 6-figures within a year. I've since built several NEW passive income businesses and have been publicly sharing everything I've been learning along the way: my wins, my failures, and even how much money each business has made and where it all comes from.
I've generated over $6 million in earnings through a diverse set of income streams: digital products, affiliate marketing, software, books, coaching, public speaking, advertising, online courses and more. I teach a lot of people how to podcast, too!

I havd a you tube channel Jewell Family Farm. I have decided to move it toward a cooking channel instead of homesteading. I have some other ideas for an online course to compliment that idea. Right now I'm in research and how to mode. Thank you for some wonderful ideas. But also great resources.
You literally changed my business idea with this‼️
Muy bueno. Gracias
Oh my goodness! Thank you so much again Pat it was truly a blessing and sorry for geeking out as a fan of yours myself. You have been a huge part of my journey as an entrepreneur and business owner. I have taken our chat to heart and have a few things in the works. I actually did my first seminar (test) and it went really really well! I am excited to do more. Thanks again!
Thanks Pat, it was an incredible pleasure chatting with you on this episode. Here's to the future!
Pat I need your help If you were starting from scratch with marketing with this experience what would you do ? I’m stuck with picking my niche but I love marketing just don’t know where to start any tips ? Thanks
Pick something you have an interest in, and GO. Get started - you'll learn more and be able to redirect much easier after you start, than just thinking about what direction to go and staying still.
Seemed to be a lot more about voice PRODUCTION than voice CONTENT. Feel like I've wasted my time listening to this. Valuable info for voice talent, but not so much for podcasters.
How about the bit where I talk about automating a podcast? Many tools around to help podcasters in the age of AI. Let me know if there's something I can help with. All the same, glad you listened in!
@@MikeRussell The big question is whether it's worthwhile to start a new podcast in a world where AI is creating so much content. How do we compete with AI generated content?
@@alantuttphotography it's an incredible question and AI content becomes more and more realistic by the day. I do still feel the human touch is going to be imporant in the future. People want to hear from humans not algorithms... I may be wrong but let's use the skills and passion we have to put great stuff out there! ✨
Hello man
Thanks for listening!
As a total (and as yet only prospective) beginner podcaster, I doff my cap to a seriously helpful and well presented lecture on a hundred or more things I had no idea I needed to know. Thank you.
Amazing questions, all of these look good.
This is the first video I am watching on the subject (I just found it) and my initial thought is that it is potentially dystopian and terrifying, although as you say in the video, i have also heard that archiving your voice is good in case you lose it in a medical event. I know that in music, fans of some Kpop groups where a member had died were upset when someone used a sample of their voice to record other songs. I create teaching content for my other channel and I like the voice bank at ElevenLabs, but at the same time I would hesitate to make my own voice clone without serious deliberation. This is rough because I think my speaking voice could make some decent passive income, but letting that horse out of the barn? It is a bit scary to ponder unless you could truly hide your identity if you wanted.
Can you generally trust the blog content as it pertains to your topic generated by AI? Are they articles searched via the internet related to key words or are they AI original content?
I would always verify and double check AI content for accuracy, and also change it a bit to add your own voice in there as well.
Rule no. 1 for podcast sound… Do NOT put the doof, doof, doof ‘music’ in the background as there are a lot of people who struggle to hear the talking through the background noise.
Great video. Thanks
Thanks for sharing this it's important for me❤
The technology can be very useful BUT can also be used to swindle the innocent or feeble minds into giving up alot of money. Crazy

My pod cast will be about having Crohn’s disease and being a bodybuilder. I’m thinking about calling it Chronically Built.
It's fascinating to see the evolution of webinars and online training in marketing strategies. Building strong relationships with partners, leveraging AI for efficiency, and focusing on customer lifetime value are key pillars for sustainable growth in the future.
Love this podcast episode! Justin's insights on asking the right questions for hidden opportunities are totally spot-on.
It's fantastic to see your openness to new opportunities and your proactive mindset. Embracing the "If this were easy, what would it look like?" approach can lead to exciting ventures and partnerships. Keep up the great work!
thanks! its been a journey but things are getting better :)
You beautifully highlighted the concept of 10x thinking, emphasizing the importance of aiming for exponential growth rather than incremental improvements. It's an important mindset shift that encourages bold moves and dreaming bigger, pushing boundaries to unlock greater potential.
Just discovered Pat! Love his stuff!
we have the same voice, i’m going to file a copyright claim on your channel for using my voice
Exciting and dangerous at the same time. I feel like I'm cheating...lol Can't wait to use it!!
Me and my friends are starting a podcast this year so this was very helpful
I really needed this video, my microphone at the moment is a 3 year+ old hyperx quadcast thats pretty much broken. So i am on the look for a new microphone and i think the Samson Q2U stood out to me the most. I am planning on using it for content creation and talking to people on discord or in games.
In 2024 still actual 👍
Great content. I have a guy willing to sell me the original rodecaster for $125. Should I do it or buy the new one?
Thank you
Thank you! It's hard to say what the most valuable part was. However, if I had to choose one, it would be your comparison to the stages of opening a restaurant.
A wise man once told me, “If you want to get to know a topic, thoroughly, attempt to teach it. That is podcasting for me. I want to expand my own knowledge, so I research information I want to know personally. IMO, your teachings here are spot on. You reference tenacity, planning, review - all qualities that would help any activity. Thank you and much success.

This is gold!
Love your content man!
Very helpful!
watching replay from UK
Pat Flynn!! With a grey beard. Wow time has indeed past. Although in all this time Pat's content has been constant, reliable, useful. Bravo sir.
I Dont know if the incline will come been podcasting Consistently for 2 years going on 3 where me and my Co-host talk about Pop Culture, Video games, and Anime every week while putting out shorts and posting to all our social media we still have no Audience and I dont know how to fix it or even If I can fix it
Amazing! I just saw you speak at @growwithvideolive yesterday. You’re amazing!!!!🎉🎉🎉
im having such a hard time to find the right microphone/audio solution for a 6 people just chatting stream (all sitting at a table, live). just had the blue yeti X (omni mode, but modes didnt matter in terms of actual quality tbh) and it is SO so bad, i cant even express how pathetic it is. i even bought another one cause i assumed the first must be broken. it wasnt. we also had a rode wireless ME setup which was okay, but pretty costly (~700€ in total). anyway. do you have any hint which mic i should look into? i feel like there must be a <400€ single-mic-solution to start with on a budget. thanks alot!
U called out my procrastination, not helping anybody, and I was like yeah. I know. 😞 Also this is helpful, I needed somewhere to start with organizing.
